The Torre del Remei is a wonderful 5*GL boutique hotel located in Bolvir de Cerdanya, inside the privileged setting of the Catalan Pyrenees and next to Cadí Natural Park.
Surrounded by a 3-hectare garden with centennial trees, Torre del Remei is a modernist palace from 1910 designed by the architect Calixto Freixa -Gaudí's disciple-, commissioned by a banker of the time.
More than 25 years ago, the manor house was converted into a luxury hotel by Chef Josep María Boix and his wife, who addressed its renovation respecting the original building and its surroundings, maintaining the charm of the past and providing modern comfort and a discreet design. From its origins, gastronomy was the heart of the project and its cuisine served from royal banquets to National Awards Ceremonies.
In 2018, this hospitality icon began a new phase. Mercer Hoteles has adapted Torre del Remei’s facilities and services to the contemporary luxury, with a project that places special emphasis on design and gastronomy.
Mercer Torre del Remei -which plans to open its doors in autumn 2019- will have 25 rooms and suites, spread over 3 floors: Spacious rooms, bathed in natural light and with an exquisite interior design.
Haute cuisine will continue to be the main character and the hotel whit the renowned Chef Carles Gaig, a model of Catalan cooking. From Barcelona to La Cerdanya, Gaig moved his signature cuisine to continue surprising his guests in the Gaig restaurant at the Mercer Hotel Torre del Remei, with its elegance and sobriety.
